Privacy and KVKK

Hukukça is not a company or official institution; it is an independent research project operated by an individual project operator living in Canada. A personal home address and personal phone number are not published. For privacy, KVKK, correction, removal, and security requests, write to gizlilik@hukukca.org.

Hukukça's purpose is to make opinions from legal professionals in public sources on major legal controversies in Turkey transparent with source, date, speaker, short excerpt, and classification information. Data is processed only for research, counting, review, correction, abuse prevention, and security purposes.

Public statements may be shown with source URL, publisher, date, short excerpt, speaker, public role, and classification information. Hukukça tries not to publish unnecessary personal details. You can report wrong attribution, incorrect person matching, security risk, or unnecessary personal data.

Voting as a legal professional requires an email account, Google Confidential Space email-control verification, and a manual bar-record approval. A session cookie keeps you signed in. Vote records store question, answer, user, and verification status; only your current vote on a question is counted. Votes cast while verification is pending count after verification is approved.

The attested verifier proves only that the applicant controlled the claimed email address during the verification run. A separate manual check looks for a bar-record entry with the claimed name and email; that manual email-to-bar-record link is not cryptographically proven. Verification receipts and Google attestation tokens may be retained so the public can verify the email-control proof.

If you submit a source suggestion, error report, or email, the link, description, and optional contact detail you provide may be used for review, response, abuse prevention, and data-quality improvement.

Hukukça may use service providers such as Vercel, Supabase, Google, Resend, or similar providers for hosting, database, email, login, and security. These providers may process data outside Turkey and Canada. Hukukça aims to use service providers only as needed to run the project.

Public-source records may be kept while the research and review purpose continues. Error reports and correspondence are kept as needed for review. The session cookie is kept for up to 14 days. If you delete your account, your sign-in account and password are deleted. Published identity as a legal professional, qualification, email-control, and vote proofs are detached from the sign-in account and retained; they are not anonymized.

For access, correction, deletion, objection, security, or removal requests about your personal data, write to gizlilik@hukukca.org. Requests are reviewed as quickly as possible and no later than 30 days.
